The Making of Life's Code of Ethics
Jam Roc Records has been fortunate to have been able to have a collection of some of the Industry's top Producers and musicians work on Donovan Banzana's project "Life's Code of Ethics". We took our time and surrounded Donovan with a situation that would undeniably allow him the oppertunity that would definately gurantee him success. Donovan Banzana has two in house pro-tool digital studios at his advantage which allows him unlimited studio time to work on his project. Donovan Banzana worked diligently and fully produced 45 songs from which we picked the 15 smashing tracks that makes up his musical master piece. Donovan Banzana first teamed up with Barry O'Hare and produced a number of songs collaborating with a lot of top musicians. He then teamed up with Nick "Fantastic "Listrani fresh out of 'The Five Towns Collage" in New York that specializes in Entertainment Education. Nick graduated in Studio engineering and music and had an undying love for reggae music, and talent and an ear that Donovan soon recognized. It was so funny that Nick being full Italian from Pennsylvania had such a vast knowledge of our sweet reggae music. Donovan took a great interest into his new protege, and soon after a bond was soon born that allowed them the oppertunity to work tiresly for hours ,days ,and months until they had ocmpleted a wide collection of hit songs. Lloyd"Cookie" Willacy was brought in to do production on the multiple guitar tracks. With his many years of experience he was a blessing to our project and blessed us imensly. Popular guitarist George Victory also worked on the project.
With the completion of 45 songs came the hard part, and that was the task of choosing an album comprising of only 15 songs when in fact all the songs produced had all become favourites. We first began to pick out the ones we considered obvious choices and way exceeded the required 15. The best we did was 25 and we knew we were in trouble. We haggled and went back and forth and shortened our list to 18. That was not good enough as we had decided to only put on 15 songs. We sacrificed and made the cut to 15 strong songs that makes up "Life's Code of Ethics".
With our task well laid out for us we collaborated with world re knowned producer Franklin Grant to bring us his gift of vocal engineering, production skills and vocal production to our project. Frank worked tiresly and diligently and indeed blessed Jam Roc Records Inc. and Donovan Banzana by cutting all our vocals, produced all our harmonies, and most of our horn sections and some of our percussions. He along with Donovan supervised the overdubs to complete our beloved project.Franklin Grant undeniably blessed us unselfishly. The proof is in the pudding. Frank was instrumental in having the multi platinum world reknowned Joseph Stonestreet (from whose name was used to name the very successful group "Blackstreet") to do harmonies on Donovan's project along with Dion Lucas, the lead singer from Sony's Platinum group :7 Mile". We were extremely grateful to have one of the greatest drummers Joslyn"Speckles"McKenzie play live drums and some of the percussions on "Life's Code of Ethics".
On completition of that aspect of the project, Donovan armed with his hard drive and personal file management engineer Mark Gray headed to Jamaica to the newly rebuilt World re knowned Jack Ruby Studios in Ocho Rios where Barry O'Hare shut down his studio exclusively for Jam Roc Records Inc. for two weeks and gave a mix that is definately second to none. We are so proud to have been privaliged to have Donovan return to Jack Ruby Studio and finish his project, as this is where Donovan first started his recording career.
With our project fully produced and mixed we were blessded to have the very young and talented Joel Chin Master our project at our Jam Roc Studios in Babylon New York.
All along the way we were very fortunate to have had talented professionals work on our project whenever we needed them. We give thanks to the Almighty God for blessing us with the gift of faith and endurance. We have never been short of faith and endurance, and completing this project has already made winners of all those involved in the production of this project. This is an accomplishment for our young and talented label "JAM ROC RECORDS INC."
THE GAME IS UNDER SEIGE, HARDCORE RIGHTEOUSNESS.
